2022 Convention Update

090721-Convention Update

The Sigma Tau Delta 2022 International Convention website is now live! Visit the website to learn more about our convention site; the 2022 Theme, Action; and our Featured Speakers, Nic Stone and Richard Blanco. Roundtable and paper submission guidelines are now also available.

Theme: Action

Now as in the past, Atlanta is a city of action. It’s the home of leaders like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and John Lewis, who encouraged us to get into “good trouble” in the name of change. The movie industry is among the most thriving in the country, the city is home to multiple professional sports teams, and the traffic is almost always bustling. The city’s motto, resurgens, means rising again, depicted as a phoenix rising from the ashes. As we emerge from the pandemic and look toward our first in-person convention in two years, this theme encapsulates our mutual hopefulness and excitement.

Submission Overview

Please read and follow the paper and roundtable submission guidelines carefully. With a large number of submissions—over 850 paper and roundtable entries were submitted for the 2019 Convention—in a limited amount of time, Convention Chair Leigh Dillard and the convention planners will use the guidelines to ensure that each member’s work is given careful attention by the appropriate judges. Faithful attention to the details of the process will increase the likelihood of your submission’s acceptance.

Deadline: Submissions will be accepted Monday, October 4 through Monday, November 1, 5:00 p.m. Central Daylight Time (CDT).
