Meet Breanna Dittert

Breanna Dittert is a Student Representative for the High Plains Region. She is an English major with an emphasis in writing at Southwestern College in Winfield, KS. She enjoys singing in the choir and drawing in her free time, and would like to someday be fluent in at least three languages.

  2. I never leave the house without chapstick and earbuds.
  3. If I had to eat one food for the rest of my life, it would be peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
  4. Growing up, I was sure I would be a geologist.
  5. I know every word to the song This is Home” by Cavetown.
  6. The best gift I’ve ever received was my first personal laptop.
  7. My nickname in high school was Egg Boi.
  8. If you find me in the kitchen, I’m typically whipping up eggs.
  9. I’m both a reader and a writer.
  10. The best paper title I ever created was “Living in Fear.”
  11. The literary place I’d most like to visit is Bag End.
  12. My dream job isĀ to be a castle caretaker.
  13. An author I truly admire is Neil Gaiman.
  14. My go-to children’s book is The Tea Dragon Society by K. O’Neill.
  15. The destination at the top of my travel bucket list is Japan.
  16. My favorite part of being an English Major is the fact that my major encourages me to do something I already love doing, but would have a hard time finding time/motivation to do otherwise.
  17. The last book I read was The Capture by Kathryn Lasky.
  18. My favorite book series is Carry On by Rainbow Rowell.
  19. My favorite place to buy books is Half Price Books or thrift stores.
  20. In 10 years, I’m betting that the big trend in literature will be choose-your-own-adventure style reader insert fiction.
  21. My first job was taking orders at Sonic Drive-In.
  22. The last book I bought was The Siege by Kathryn Lasky, and I have read it.
  23. The celebrity I’d most like to spend a day with is Travis McElroy.
  24. If I could move anywhere in the world, I’d live in Hobbiton, New Zealand.
