Meet Krista Barth

Krista (she/her) is a current Society member who is serving as the Midwestern Region Associate Student Representative. She is a senior at Culver-Stockton College and is double majoring in English and Theatre. She enjoys both academic and creative writing but tends to be more successful in academic writing. But, she hopes to further develop her creative writing skills and to use them in her future profession!

  1. My favorite movie is Moana.
  2. I never leave the house without chapstick.
  3. If I had to eat one food for the rest of my life, it would be fruit salad.
  4. Growing up, I was sure I would be a teacher.
  5. I know every word to the song 7 Rings” by Ariana Grande.
  6. The best gift I’ve ever received was a cookbook of family recipes.
  7. My nickname in high school was Krispy.
  8. If you find me in the kitchen, I’m typically whipping up cookies.
  9. I’m both a reader and a writer.
  10. The best paper title I ever created was “Disney and Societal Hegemony.”

  11. The literary place I’d most like to visit is Forks, Washington.
  12. My dream job is to be a screenwriter.

  14. My go-to children’s book is Boom Chicka Boom by Liz Weir.

  16. My favorite part of being an English Major is being able to explore different forms of creative writing.

  18. My favorite book series is Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan.
  19. My favorite place to buy books is the Old Book Barn in Forsyth, IL.
  20. In 10 years, I’m betting that the big trend in literature will be dystopias derived from pandemics.
  21. My first job was Day Camp Counselor.
  22. The last book I bought was Tell the Wolves I’m Home by Carol Rifka Brunt, but I have not yet read it.
  23. The celebrity I’d most like to spend a day with is The Jonas Brothers.
  24. If I could move anywhere in the world, I’d live in London, England.
  25. I’m a Ravenclaw.
