Meet the Deltans-SVogel

Sarah Vogel is the Historian for the Alumni Epsilon Chapter. She entered Sigma Tau Delta through the University of Northern Colorado in 2013. After college, Sarah earned her MA in Cognitive Linguistics from Case Western Reserve University, where she worked in marketing, photography, and graphic design. Sarah decided to apply to law schools over PhD programs and is currently studying health and business law at the University of Denver. Sarah is also building her own business in freelance writing and editing while pursuing her law degree. She is an avid reader and traveler who loves photographing landscapes.

  2. I never leave the house without a headphones for podcasts.
  3. If I had to eat one food for the rest of my life, it would be: Absolutely not. I like to cook!
  4. Growing up, I was sure I would be a published author.
  5. I know every word to the song Lithium,” by Nirvana (or, like, any of their songs).
  6. The best gift I’ve ever received was when my parents helped me to move home after grad school.
  7. My nickname in high school was Vo. Short for Vogel. There were too many Sarahs.
  8. If you find me in the kitchen, I’m typically whipping up something wildly vegetarian.
  9. I’m both a reader and a writer.
  10. The best paper title I ever created was “Constructing Life: The Resultative Construction and Social Cognition in Moral Argumentation.”trinity college
  11. The literary place I’d most like to visit is Trinity College Dublin.
  12. My dream job is writer & attorney.
  13. An author I truly admire is J.R.R. Tolkien.
  14. My go-to children’s book is Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, by J.K. Rowling.SVogel-Rome
  15. The destination at the top of my travel bucket list is Rome, again.
  16. My favorite part of being an English Major is arguing and obsessing over the effect language has on our brains.
  17. The last book I read was The Case Against Reality, by Donald Hoffman.
  18. My favorite book is The Ocean at the End of the Lane, by Neil Gaiman.the-ocean
  19. My favorite place to buy books: I have worked at Barnes & Noble for ages. I also love The Tattered Cover, which is the main indie bookstore in Denver.
  20. In 10 years, I’m betting that the big trend in literature will be science fiction focusing on artificial intelligence and the automation revolution.
  21. My first job was at Einstein Bros Bagels, then Barnes & Noble.
  22. The last book I bought was The Middle Finger Project, by Ash Ambirge, and I have read it.Neil-Gaiman
  23. The celebrity I’d most like to spend a day with is Neil Gaiman.
  24. If I could move anywhere in the world, I’d live in: I lived out of state for a few years, and I have realized that my home is in Colorado. I need the mountains.
