Meet the Deltans

Ashley Linnehan is a current member of the Westfield State University (WSU) chapter of Sigma Tau Delta and is the Eastern Region Associate Student Representative. She is also involved with the literary arts journal on her campus, the WSU Honors Program, the MA Honors Program, and the education association at her school. She works as a Peer Writing Consultant; she is also in the middle of completing her Senior Honors Project on dialectical and linguistic diversity in WSU’s Writing Center. Fun fact: she has a birthmark on her arm that looks like Abraham Lincoln!

  2. I never leave the house without sunglasses.
  3. If I had to eat one food for the rest of my life, it would be mashed potatoes.
  4. Growing up, I was sure I would be a lawyer.
  5. I know every word to the song “Lane Boy,” by Twenty One Pilots.
  6. The best gift I’ve ever received was my great-grandpa’s rings.
  7. My nickname in high school was Sasshley.
  8. If you find me in the kitchen, I’m typically whipping up toaster waffles.
  9. I’m more of a reader.
  10. The best paper title I ever created was “We Aren’t Doing Enough: Operationalizing Linguistic/Dialectical Diversity Theories in Writing Centers.”
  11. The literary place I’d most like to visit is The Old Manse/Minuteman National Park (again).old manse
  12. My dream job is Writing Center Director.
  13. An author I truly admire is Chris Bohjalian.
  14. My go-to children’s book is My Father’s Dragon, by Ruth Stiles Gannett.
  15. The destination at the top of my travel bucket list is Armenia.

  18. My favorite book is To Kill A Mockingbird, by Harper Lee.

  20. In 10 years, I’m betting that the big trend in literature will be graphic novels.
  21. My first job was as a basketball book-keeper.
  22. The last book I bought was The Sleepwalker, by Chris Bohjalian,but I have not read it.
  23. The celebrity I’d most like to spend a day with is Khalid.
  24. If I could move anywhere in the world, I’d live in Greece.
  25. I’m a Hufflepuff!
